Who did what.

On day 1 of the shoot which took place at school, here were our roles:

Nicole: I shot most of the footage, except the CU of matt thinking. Ashleigh shot those.

Ashleigh: I got together all the props that we needed for these scenes and did most of the prep work, i.e. making folders, investigation files.

Max: I collected and looked after the equipment. I also got up the storyboard up on my phone and helped guide Nicole.

On the 2nd day of shooting  here were our roles:

Nicole: I did all of the shots, however throughout the day i let Ashleigh and Max give their input and help. Max helped out on the 2nd time-lapse towards the end of the day.

Max: I took responsibility for carrying equipment. I helped take the time-lapse at the end, and also stopped people from walking in the way of our shooting. I also helped with locating our destinations, as i have good map skills.

Ashleigh: I acted as a director for our group as well as bringing the equipment to the shoot while during the shoot Max took care of it. I was also responsible for making sure we arrived on time using our call sheet e.g. train times. With this in place, we were able to get all the footage we needed.

Filming on Thursday 12th and Roles

We filmed yesterday in the Studio with our actor Matt. We were lucky in many ways yesterday as we found another actor called Charlie who was in business dress which helped us with having a real person interrogating the scene as originally we didn't have any one to do play this part.
Max also came to this shot as he moved his driving lesson around to a later date.

From filming this we discovered who was best at what, roles were then distibuted:
Nicole: Camera woman, this is because she has a good understanding of the rule of 3rds and has a steady hand with the camera. She also has a keen eye on what is key within a frame.
Ashleigh: Director/Equipment: I find that i help Nicole with seeing whether a frame looks good as well as helping direct the actors. I also am looking after the equipment and making sure it is all charged.
Max: Director, Max has shown to have some really creative ideas and therefore when we need help figuring out what looks best on a scene, Max helps show us different options that would look great for the shot.

We got it done in the right amount of time given and we are on schedule.
I have taken some photographs of the props that i made for the interrogation scene:

I made these props for our interrogation scene. I made sure that i got the correct kind of documents by searching on Google the images of what were actually inside police records. I also made our actor Matt actually put his fingerprints on the sheet and filled in the information to give it an authentic realistic feel to our scene. I wanted to make it feel as real as possible. Nicole borrowed a tape recorded from the modern foreign languages department which we used as if we were actually recording an interrogation on a witness.
These key features made our scene look as realistic as possible.

Final Dates for Shooting

We were unsuccessful to shot over the winter break. There were a number of reasons for this and we have also realised that this is not good time management. If we were with a professional production team we would of wasted money on hiring the equipment and time of the members of the team. We have learnt from this and won't be making the same mistake.

We have made new dates to shot, Thursday 12th for our interrigation scene and Sunday 15th for our main central London scenes.

At the moment the most information i can get for Sunday's weather in London is that the sun rises at 8am, sunset is at 4.20pm. It will be 4 degrees with a slight wind at 9mph, easterly.

I've found out more about the weather on Sunday so here is an update on the weather:

Shooting re-scheduled.

Our original date we were going to film was to be the 20th December 2011. Due to a member of our group having last minute overtime for work, we were unable to shoot that day because they also had the camera equipment.
This caused some arguments between the group, as we had all the preparations done for that day, and actors were free on that day too. However we eventually moved on, and sorted out another day to shoot.

We are not planning to shoot our thriller on the 7th January 2012.
The plans will be the same as before, (call list etc). And here is the weather forecast for that day (I will have to update it closer to the date, because BBC Weather didn't show exact forecasts on each hour:

We will be using the same shot list, risk assessment, equipment list as before. We have just changed the date of the shoot.
